Role
I was responsible for design strategy, problem framing, conducting user research, and the design of the end to end data automation experience. Our team’s focus was to show a proof of concept of syncing and viewing third party data within our product, Compass from a product integration.

Overview
Development sprawl is a growing problem amongst software engineering teams due to distributed architectures and tools. This makes it hard to track where things are, who owns them and how they relate to each other. The inevitable complexity of so many moving parts is becoming overwhelming to organizations of all sizes. This complexity, if left unmanaged, will result in lower velocity of value delivery and poor operational performance affecting the bottom line customers.
Compass is an engineering hub that helps teams adopt a better way of working with modern, distributed architectures. It unifies the disconnected information and the teams collaborating on it together and provides a connected, real-time representation of engineering output all in one place.
As the designer responsible for the data automation experience. There were two primary journeys that I was focused on: the set up and the update journey.
